Want to help shape programs and lead ideas for young adults at the YMCA? Join the Unspoken Advisory Council with Greenwich Connects.
Young adults ages 18-25 are welcome to get involved with hosting fun and exciting events at the YMCA. Our Unspoken Advisory Council will support people in the community that need support. We are looking for folks that want to help with events, develop social media and build our community.

Adaptive Sports (13+ years)

Our Adaptive Sports Class provides children and teens of all abilities with the chance to build skills, stay active, and experience the joy of teamwork in a supportive environment. Designed for participants with physical, developmental, or intellectual differences, this program focuses on inclusivity, confidence, and fun.
Through modified activities and individualized support, participants will explore a variety of sports and fitness games while practicing teamwork, communication, and motor skills. Our trained YMCA staff and volunteers ensure that every participant feels welcome, safe, and encouraged to achieve their personal best.
Whether your child is new to sports or looking for an inclusive community to continue their athletic journey, the Adaptive Sports Class is a place where everyone belongs and every ability shines.

Non-Contact Boxing Open Gym

Class Included With Membership!
A limited opportunity for our youth to practice skills learned in their boxing classes or for those that simply want to punch the bag. In this hour a wellness associate will monitor the room to ensure safe usage is followed. This is not a structure workout, but rather an opportunity for our youth to access a typical adult only space. Bring your own gloves!
Drop in anytime within the hour. Stay the whole time or just some of it, it is your choice! Registration is not required. Only open to members.

Learn the fundamental of boxing technique and self-defense in our youth boxing classes. Improve strength, endurance, and athleticism while relieving stress and having fun. Mental toughness guaranteed. No registration required.
Youth Wellness Facility Guidelines
At the YMCA of Greenwich, we provide teens with access to a variety of spaces and programs that support physical activity, independence, and healthy habits. The guidelines below outline age requirements, supervision policies, and designated teen hours for the Wellness Center, Base Fitness, Boxing Loft, Indoor Basketball Court, and Alumni Pool. These policies are designed to ensure a safe and positive experience for all members as teens grow in confidence and strength.
- Members must be 15 years of age or older to use the Wellness Center/Base Fitness unsupervised.
- Youth’s ages 12-14 may use the Wellness Center/Base Fitness when accompanied by a parent or responsible adult (18+).
- Youth’s ages 12-14 may use the Wellness Center/Base Fitness unsupervised only after completing a “teen orientation” from one of our staff members. (Please see staff to schedule appointment).
- Members must be 17 years of age or older to use the Boxing Loft unsupervised.
- Boxing Loft: Youth’s ages 12-16 may use the Boxing Loft when accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.
- Indoor Basketball Court: Youth (12+ years) will have specific open gym time in the Indoor Basketball Court on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:45PM - 2:45PM.
- Alumni Pool Free Swim: Youth (12+ years) will have specific open swim time in our heated Alumni Pool on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30PM - 3:30PM.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
We are committed to ensuring any family, regardless of financial status, feels welcome to sign up for membership and programs at the Y.
We are more than happy to walk families through the Financial Aid Application, via phone, email, or in person. This application can be submitted at any time and takes up to a week to process with the appropriate supplemental documents.
