SPECIAL FREE TRIAL CLASSES

Free Youth Soccer Trial Class (10+ years) - April 7th

Join us for a free trial class of our upcoming youth soccer program in partnership with Amazing Kickers! This is a great opportunity for your child to experience the program without committing to the full session—see if they love it before signing up!

Designed for young athletes, this fun, non-competitive program introduces children to the fundamentals of soccer through creative activities and imaginative play. With an age-specific curriculum led by experienced coaches, Amazing Kickers helps kids build confidence, develop social skills, and stay active—all in an encouraging and engaging atmosphere. Through positive reinforcement and skill-based, theme-driven lessons, children will foster independence while learning the joy of the game.

Introduce your athlete to the exciting sport of fencing in an enjoyable, easy, and safe haven under the guidance of three-time Olympian Mika’il Sankofa.

Mika'il Sankofa, a three-time Olympian in fencing ('84, '88, '92),Pan American Games Silver & Bronze Medalist.

Our program is based on an important idea: Athletes learn more when they’re having fun! As skill develops, confidence grows and results follow. Improved self-esteem for our athletes is our end goal after every private lesson, group class and competition. Our academy aims to cultivate a culture of excellence and sportsmanship, where students can develop their physical and mental abilities.

Classes will develop technique, focus, control and mindset for sparring. Classes will provide various technical and strategic actions to perform that are designed to improve an athlete’s skill and competitive awareness while competing.

The Y has partnered with Kids In Sports, a team of sports educators, who’ve created an expertly designed curriculum that is innovative, age-appropriate, and fun!

Their multi-sport program for younger children grows with your child–from adult participation to separation classes. Older children learn the fundamentals of specific team sports, and at every age your child gains important life skills like taking instruction, working in groups, and sportsmanship. These classes begin to focus children on the principles of six sports (soccer, basketball, baseball, football, volleyball, and hockey), teaching fundamentals of sports skills and general game play rules.

Kids In Sports take pride in nurturing the development of your whole child. With a low student-to-coach ratio, they will help each child grow in the confidence and skills they need to succeed in sports, school, and life.

This program will give your learner opportunities to build functional DUPLO® models of amusement park rides, boats, ramps, cars and so much more! TEEN & TWEEN PROGRAMS

Our teen & tween-centered wellness programming help to nurture the potential of every child and teen by supporting their unique youth development journey through holistic programming. Our Teen Wellness Programs, for teens ages 11-18, include Boxing, which is FREE for YMCA members.

We are committed to ensuring any family, regardless of financial status, feels welcome to sign up for membership and programs at the Y. 

We are more than happy to walk families through the Financial Aid Application, via phone, email, or in person. This application can be submitted at any time and takes up to a week to process with the appropriate supplemental documents.
