WATER SAFETY STARTS AT THE Y!
Water Safety Campaign: March 24 - April 6
Water safety is essential for everyone, from young children to adults. At the YMCA of Greenwich, we’re committed to ensuring our community has the skills and confidence to enjoy the water safely. Through our myriad of aquatic offerings, we provide opportunities for all ages to build strong swimming skills while fostering a lifelong love of the water.
WHY DONATE TO OUR WATER SAFETY CAMPAIGN?
Your donation to our water safety campaign helps ensure that everyone in our community has access to essential swim education, safe aquatic programs, and the opportunity to enjoy the water with confidence. Here’s why your support makes a difference:
1. Help Save Lives Through Water Safety
Drowning is one of the leading causes of accidental death, but swim education saves lives. Your donation helps fund programs like Safety Around Water, giving children and adults the skills they need to stay safe.
2. Promote Health and Wellness Through Aquatics
Swimming and aquatic activities provide a full-body, low-impact workout that benefits people of all ages. Your support helps us offer programs that promote health and wellness through the power of water.
3. Make Swimming Accessible for Everyone
Financial barriers shouldn’t prevent anyone from learning how to swim. Your contribution helps us provide swim lessons and adaptive programs for our entire community, ensuring everyone has the chance to thrive in the water.
