Our wellness programs for active older adults are designed to support the whole person, offering opportunities to stay fit, stimulate the mind, manage chronic conditions, and build meaningful relationships. From group exercise and personal training to evidence-based programs and enrichment activities, we’re here to help you thrive—body, mind, and spirit.

Senior-Friendly Memberships
A YMCA membership is more than just access to a gym—it’s your gateway to wellness, friendship, and fun. We offer options tailored for older adults, including Senior memberships (ages 65+), Senior Family memberships (two seniors and dependent children in the same household), and Renew Active™, which provides a free membership to those with select UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plans.

Group Exercise Classes
With over 95+ group exercise classes each month, the YMCA of Greenwich offers something for every interest and ability. Stay strong with energizing workouts, boost brainpower with mind and memory-focused movement, enjoy gentle, low-impact classes for joint or bone health, or dive into aqua fitness that's easy on the body and great for the heart—all designed with active older adults in mind.

Adult Enrichment
Our Adult Enrichment programs offer engaging activities like Bridge and Mah Jongg card games, providing opportunities for mental stimulation and social connection. These sessions create a welcoming environment for members to enjoy friendly competition, sharpen their cognitive skills, and build meaningful relationships with others.

Discounted Personal Training
Members 65+ enjoy discounted personal training designed to support strength, balance, flexibility, and overall well-being. Our certified trainers tailor each session to your goals and fitness level—so you can feel your best at any age!

Adult Sports
Our vibrant adult sports offerings enable members to enjoy pickleball sessions tailored for both beginners and advanced players, as well as casual pickup basketball games during lunch hours. These activities are free for members to drop in, providing opportunities to stay active and connect with fellow community members in a fun and supportive environment.

LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA
Our LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program helps adult cancer survivors regain their health and well-being after a cancer diagnosis. This evidence-based initiative creates a nurturing community where survivors can enhance their strength, physical fitness, and overall quality of life.

Parkinson's Body & Mind
The Parkinson’s Body & Mind program provides essential support for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease through group wellness classes and monthly support groups. By participating, individuals can maintain higher levels of function and enjoy an improved quality of life, fostering resilience and well-being within this growing community.

Walk With Ease
Developed by the Arthritis Foundation, this program helps individuals with arthritis or joint pain get active. Reduce pain, increase balance, and build confidence through guided walking sessions with like-minded individuals. This program is free and open to members and non-members.
