Competitive Aquatics Teams

COMPETITIVE AQUATICS AT THE Y

The YMCA of Greenwich is the premier aquatics facility in the area. It is home to three highly competitive and nationally ranked teams: Marlins Dive Club, Marlins Swim Team, and Greenwich Aquatics Water Polo.

We are extremely proud of the more than 500 athletes who compete under the YMCA banner, many of whom go on to compete at the collegiate level.

Each of these teams practice in the YMCA of Greenwich’s 50-meter by 25-yard Olympic pool.

PERFORMANCE GOALS BY SPORT

Athletes ages 9 to 12 will develop a strong foundation in stability, range of motion (ROM), and coordination, to help them better understand how their bodies can effectively perform.

As athletes move through the program, parents will also receive regular updates to track their progress.

Athletes ages 13 to 18 will start with baseline testing to establish a starting point for their training program. Their workout sessions will center on the specific demands of their sport. As they progress, they will learn how each aspect of their training improves their performance, better preparing them to reach the next level.
