YOUTH SWIM SCHOOL
Following the YMCA National Swim Instruction Program, our curriculum focuses on teaching water safety and comfort followed by stroke development. All lessons are held in our Alumni warm-water pool for 30 minutes with the exception of YOUTH levels 3-6 which are 45 minutes.

Our swim school offers a comprehensive, level-based program designed to help children develop their swimming skills and water safety knowledge. From beginners to advanced swimmers, each level focuses on age-appropriate techniques and water safety practices, ensuring that children build confidence and competence in the water. Noodle Water Polo
- Friday: 4:00PM – 5:00PM
Noodle Water Polo aims to introduce juniors to the sport of water polo by providing an enjoyable and challenging interactive game, which will encourage them to pursue the sport and go on to play water polo. Players will be using noodles or floatation devises to stay afloat so strong swimming skills are not necessary. This makes noodle water polo accessible for all children. Through participation, skills that are required for water polo can be learned with greater ease, as well as, the development of water confidence and water skills in a team environment.

Swim Conditioning
- Wednesday: 5:15PM – 6:15PM
- Thursday: 5:15PM – 6:15PM
This program is designed to provide swimmers with practice sets to support them with building confidence to take their swimming skills to the next level and prepare swimmers to try out for swim team. Practices include development of all 4 swim strokes, starts, turns, relays, diving and more! Practices will take place in the Alumni pool. This small group, learning environment will give swimmers a sense of what it feels like to be part of a team.

GREENWICH SWIM CLUB
Greenwich Swim Club is a non-competitive program that offers children ages 8-12 an opportunity to work with certified USA swim coaches to improve their swimming skills and to build community by being part of a swim team-style environment.
Swimmers will learn to build strength, speed, and endurance while refining their stroke technique in a non-competitive environment.
If you are interested in joining swim club, please schedule a tryout by emailing swimschool@gwymca.org or visiting the front desk!
Here are a few of the perks that Greenwich Swim Club will offer its swimmers:

REQUIRED SWIM EVALUATIONS
If you are not a member of the YMCA of Greenwich, or have not taken a class within the last session at our facility, a swim evaluation is necessary. Registration without an evaluation will result in non-refund. Evaluations take approximately 5 minutes. No evaluation needed for children under 3 years old (i.e. Parent & Child Classes).

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
We are committed to ensuring any family, regardless of financial status, feels welcome to sign up for swimming lessons at the Y. It is important to us that all families in our community have access to learning critical water safety skills.
We are more than happy to walk families through the Financial Aid Application, via phone, email, or in person. This application can be submitted at any time and takes up to a week to process with the appropriate supplemental documents.
