Celebrating Our Q1 2025 Cause Driven Leaders: Judy Reda and Sarah Decossard

Each quarter, we recognize two employees as Cause Driven Leaders—individuals who go above and beyond in their roles and truly exemplify what it means to live the Y’s mission.

What is a Cause Driven Leader?

A Cause Driven Leader is an employee who:

• Demonstrates a high level of initiative, responsibility, and resourcefulness in their role

• Lives our Y values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility

• Develops trust and credibility through open, respectful communication

• Provides a sense of purpose, vision, and mission for their co-workers and members

• Positively influences others

• Champions change effectively through formal or informal leadership

We are thrilled to recognize two exceptional individuals as our Q1 2025 honorees: Judy Reda and Sarah Decossard.

Judy Reda: A Welcoming Presence and Steadfast Leader

Judy Reda, Member Services Associate, has been a cornerstone of the YMCA of Greenwich for years. She is more than a familiar face at the front desk—she is a role model, a mentor, and a warm presence who makes everyone feel at home.

Judy leads with empathy and heart. Her warm smile, infectious laughter, and light-hearted spirit create an atmosphere where members and staff alike feel valued and welcomed. Whether training new employees, checking in members, or offering encouragement, Judy embodies the Y’s core values in everything she does.

Even in the face of personal challenges, Judy’s strength, integrity, and unwavering commitment shine. Her positive influence reaches far beyond the lobby—she nurtures our culture and helps new staff embrace our mission from day one.

Sarah Decossard: Purpose-Driven, Creative, and All In

Sarah Decossard, Marketing Coordinator, has made a lasting impact in just her first year at the YMCA of Greenwich. She brings passion, creativity, and a strong sense of purpose to her role—showing up early, staying late, and always going the extra mile.

Sarah’s work is both strategic and heartfelt. From photographing early-morning boot camps to launching campaigns that connect with our members, Sarah constantly seeks ways to elevate the Y’s mission. Her ability to collaborate across departments and her enthusiasm for community engagement set her apart.

With professionalism, empathy, and a joyful spirit, Sarah brings people together and inspires those around her. She leads by example, influencing others through her commitment, positivity, and care.
