Our Evidence-Based Health Initiatives are research-backed programs designed to help individuals manage chronic conditions, improve mobility and strength, reduce health risks, and maintain independence in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Parkinson's Body & Mind
The Parkinson’s Body & Mind program provides essential support for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease through group wellness classes and monthly support groups. By participating, individuals can maintain higher levels of function and enjoy an improved quality of life, fostering resilience and well-being within this growing community.

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA
Our LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program helps adult cancer survivors regain their health and well-being after a cancer diagnosis. This evidence-based initiative creates a nurturing community where survivors can enhance their strength, physical fitness, and overall quality of life.

Tai Chi

Walk With Ease
Whether you're seeking relief from arthritis pain or simply looking to become more active, our new Walk With Ease program—developed in partnership with the Arthritis Foundation—can help you safely incorporate physical activity into your daily routine. Led by one of our certified instructors, the program meets three times a week for guided outdoor walks, complemented by periodic educational sessions that focus on walking mechanics and overall wellness.
