OUR TAI CHI PROGRAM OFFERINGS
TAI CHI FOR DIABETES & ARTHRITIS
September 15 – December 3*
Tuesdays & Thursdays
11:10 AM – 12:00 PM

*Ability to commit to all 12 weeks is required in order to participate in this program.
Tai Chi for Diabetes is an evidence-based program designed to help prevent and improve the management of diabetes through safe, gentle movement that supports overall health and wellness.
Participants learn a series of easy-to-follow Tai Chi movements combined with breathing exercises that can help improve cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, flexibility, balance, and stress management. These benefits may also help reduce the risk of diabetes-related complications.
No previous Tai Chi experience is required. However, participants must not have previously completed the YMCA's Tai Chi for Arthritis and Falls Prevention program.
This program is free and open to the community, even if you are not a YMCA member.
TAI CHI FOR ARTHRITIS AND FALL PREVENTION
September 15 – December 4*
Tuesdays: 12:15 PM – 1:05 PM
Fridays: 10:10 AM – 11:00 AM

Tai Chi for Arthritis & Falls Prevention is an evidence-based program designed to improve balance, mobility, coordination, and confidence in movement. Through gentle, mindful exercises, participants build strength and stability while learning techniques that can help reduce the risk of falls and support healthy aging.
This session serves as a continuation of the skills and techniques developed in our previous Tai Chi for Arthritis & Falls Prevention program and is currently available only to participants who have successfully completed a prior YMCA Tai Chi evidence-based health program.
No previous Tai Chi experience is required.
This program is open to the community and free for YMCA members. Non-members who are participating in the program for the second time must pay a fee of $120 to enjoy the program.

Pat Rowley
Certified through the Tai Chi for Health Institute, Pat is an experienced Tai Chi and Qi Gong instructor dedicated to helping individuals improve balance, mobility, strength, and overall well-being.
Pat has worked with diverse populations in health centers and senior communities, leading both small and large groups across all skill levels. Their approach focuses on making Tai Chi accessible, engaging, and enjoyable for everyone.
By combining technical expertise with clear instruction and a supportive, positive environment, Pat helps participants build confidence and experience meaningful physical and emotional benefits.
