Present by
YMCA of Greenwich Leaders Club
Location
Greenwich, CT
Join our Y Leaders Club, families, YMCA staff, members, and community volunteers for a day of service helping local seniors and neighbors with disabilities or physical limitations with fall yard and leaf clean-up.
We are looking for caring and dedicated volunteers to help senior citizens and community members who may have difficulty maintaining their yards independently.
This is a great opportunity to give back to our community, earn service hours, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors. Together, we’ll help keep local homes’ outdoor spaces safe, clean, and welcoming.
Date
Saturday, November 7 or Saturday, November 14
Final date will depend on the Town of Greenwich leaf pick-up schedule.
Time
9:30 AM – 2:00 PM
Volunteers may leave earlier if their assigned project is completed.
Schedule
9:30–10:30 AM: Meet at the YMCA for a light breakfast, team assignments, and supplies
10:30–11:00 AM: Travel to the assigned home (volunteers will be responsible for transportation from the Y to the volunteer location)
11:00 AM–2:00 PM: Yard cleanup and lawn care
Each volunteer team will be responsible for the lawn clean-up and care for one home. Volunteers can leave early if the project is completed before 2:00 PM.
