Join us for an informative lecture with Dr. Cara Pensabene, who will discuss women’s health and the American Heart Association’s Life’s Essential 8. These eight key measures focus on improving and maintaining cardiovascular health, which can significantly reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke, and other major health issues. The Essential 8 are divided into health behaviors and health factors. Dr. Pensabene will explore how adopting healthy behaviors—such as eating better, being more active, quitting tobacco, and getting adequate sleep—along with managing weight, cholesterol, blood sugar, and blood pressure, can help improve overall heart health.
Dr. Cara Pensabene is a distinguished healthcare leader, currently serving as Vice President and Global Medical Director at Mastercard. With a deep commitment to women's health, she is a member of the American Heart Association’s Eastern States Regional board and a former chair of the Go Red for Women campaign in Westchester/Fairfield. Dr. Pensabene is passionate about cardiovascular health and has dedicated much of her career to advocating for better heart health practices, particularly for women.
