You may occasionally notice small markers placed on the bottom of the pool. These are called Angels, and they play an important role in helping our lifeguards maintain clear visibility across the entire pool.

Angels are highly visible safety testing devices placed on the pool floor during designated safety checks. Their purpose is simple but critical: they help ensure our lifeguards can clearly see the bottom of the pool from their assigned guard position at all times. Being able to see the pool floor quickly and clearly is essential for lifeguards to monitor swimmers and respond immediately if someone needs assistance.

How They Help Keep Swimmers Safe

Throughout operating hours, trained staff conduct routine visibility tests by confirming that each Angels device can be easily seen from the lifeguard’s position.

If visibility is ever affected by things like:
