At the YMCA of Greenwich, we believe the lessons learned through competitive athletics extend far beyond the pool. While dedication and performance are important, the true measure of success is the impact athletes have on themselves, their teammates, and the larger community around them. Through our Triple-Impact Competitor® of the Month recognition, we celebrate athletes who embody these values through their actions every day.
Each month, a different competitive aquatics team recognizes an athlete who demonstrates exceptional leadership, sportsmanship, and character both in and out of competition.
Triple-Impact Competitor® of the Month: Callum Holl
This month, we are proud to recognize Callum Holl from Greenwich Aquatics Water Polo as our May 2026 Triple-Impact Competitor® of the Month.
A dedicated athlete and junior at Brunswick School, Callum consistently represents everything great about the sport of water polo and the culture of Greenwich Aquatics. His commitment, positivity, and leadership make a lasting impact on everyone around him.
Callum leads by example through his strong work ethic, self-respect, and determination. He approaches every practice and competition with focus and a desire to improve, while also encouraging his teammates to push themselves and grow alongside him. His positive attitude is contagious and helps foster a supportive and motivated team environment.
One of the qualities that makes Callum especially deserving of this recognition is the way he interacts with younger athletes in the program. He is always respectful, encouraging, and willing to support the next generation of players. Whether he is offering advice, cheering them on, or simply taking the time to connect with them, Callum leaves a meaningful impression on younger teammates and serves as an outstanding role model within the club.
Callum’s sportsmanship and character extend beyond the pool as well. He consistently represents Greenwich Aquatics with integrity, humility, and respect for teammates, coaches, opponents, and officials alike.
As his coaches and teammates know well, Callum’s future is incredibly bright both in and out of the water. His leadership and example continue to strengthen the culture of Greenwich Aquatics and inspire those around him every day.
